President Donald Trump plans to watch the solar eclipse from a White House balcony.

Donald Trump has been caught looking at the solar eclipse without special glasses, despite all expert advice saying this practice is unsafe. But remember that Trump has quite the genes: In 2015, his doctor wrote a letter saying that "if elected, Mr. Trump, I can state unequivocally, will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency".

In his brief time in the office, President Donald Trump has become America's No. 1 Internet punching bag and today was no different and that's because #45 made a decision to stare directly at the sun during today's historic solar eclipse while taking a look-see with Melania Trump and Barron Trump at the White House. As he did so, one of the White House aides standing beneath balcony shouted "don't look!"

Trump put on his glasses but then took them off, staring upwards into the sun. Trump turned away as soon as someone yelled, "Don't look".

But debate over details dragged on for months. "He will announce recommendations on this matter at a later date", Trump said . The decision by Trump signals a recognition of the increasing importance of cyberspace operations to the American military.

The solar eclipse was over from coast to coast in 90 minutes.

Solar glasses are a must for anyone who wants to view the eclipse. On Monday, social media quickly filled with photos and GIFs of the president checking out the historic solar eclipse without proper protection.

As the eclipse began in Washington, "Total Eclipse of the Heart" played over the White House's PA system. The longer a person stares into the sun, the more damage that can be done to the eye.
