Donald Trump stares directly into the sun as aide yells "Don't look!"

On Sunday morning, Ivanka Trump posted a tweet on her Twitter account with a graphic image explaining the solar eclipse. On Monday, social media quickly filled with photos and GIFs of the president checking out the historic solar eclipse without proper protection. The event has been closely monitored and many events are being organized in United States and Canada for people to watch the Solar Eclipse.

The White House originally said Trump would watch from the second-floor Truman balcony. This was the first visible solar eclipse in the USA since 1979.

At one point, the president looked up without his protective glasses, prompting someone below to yell out "don't look!" At around the same time Trump took off his eclipse glasses (not something eye doctors would recommend) Sessions was filmed putting his on.

The American eased past a hobbled Petra Kvitova (right thigh issue), 6-2, 6-3, for her second win over Kvitova in as many weeks. World number one Pliskova booked her spot in the last 16 with a routine victory over Natalia Vikhlyantseva .

Trump then donned the protective eyewear. Because the lower light levels during the eclipse mean pupils are less responsive, and less likely to constrict, it's easy to damage the light-sensitive retinal cells in the back of the eye, which never heal.

Remember, Mr. President: "Any amount of looking is too long".
