It was a cartoonishly violent lampoon of the spy genre that remembered to be a satisfying spy film in its own right. Two and a half years after the release of its Bond-spoofing forerunner, Vaughn has returned a sequel, in which the first film's council-estate outcast turned elite secret agent Eggsy (Taron Egerton) takes on an global drugs ring. If the first Kingsman left you going "Wow!" this one leaves you saying "Hmm...cool".
There are, however, more positive reactions to the film than negative.
Julianne Moore also did a great job playing the deranged super villain Poppy, she brought a solid mix of cold-calculation and pure insanity. They must work together to find Poppy, take down her band of vicious henchman, save Elton John (yes), and find the antidote to cure the world's growing population who are infected with the deadly virus.
The spy comedy sees Eggsy (Taron Egerton) and the Kingsman agents join forces with their American counterpart Statesman, as the world is threatened by a crime syndicate called The Golden Circle.
As we approach its release, here is a new clip for Taron Egerton's upcoming sequel Kingsman: The Golden Circle that introduces us to Channing Tatum's character: Agent Tequila.
Trump Says Venezuela Is A Disaster Because Socialism Has Been 'Faithfully Implemented'
Trump did not repeat that warning, but said the United States was prepared to take further action, without offering details. Venezuela has collapsed under the repressive socialist regime of President Nicholas Maduro.
It's certainly refreshing to see a director acknowledge the tepid response that's met nearly every FF film to date, especially since Marvel's first family have had it so spectacularly bad over the years. I for one will never turn down a film with a laser-equipped lasso that cuts people in half.
"Kingsman: The Golden Circle " opens in theaters on Friday.
One thing fans shouldn't anticipate, however, is a post-credit sequence. There are many more swings that follow throughout the sequel's 141-minute runtime, but not all of them are as successful as that opening number. Almost every scene in The Golden Circle furthers the plot and deepens its characters while both subverting genre expectations and building its own mythology. The first film also settled with the same rating, but with over 200 reviews. The lad-to-lord transition of the first film is sorely missed, as is the contrast between Eggsy's working-class background and the highfalutin Secret Service.
"Kingsman: The Golden Circle" is scheduled to premiere in theaters on September 22. This becomes more complicated when he discovers his new mission may require sleeping with the enemy.
Based on the comic book by Kick-Ass's Mark Millar, the first film adaptation arrived back in 2014 and now its sequel is about to hit cinemas. If things do go well, however, Vaughn has plenty of plans for the future of the franchise. The young man is taken into the Kingsman spy organization and trained by his father's former friend, Harry Hart /Galahad (Colin Firth) to be the ultimate spy.
