Last Thursday, a New York Times report detailed multiple allegations of sexual harassment against Weinstein. "But she didn't mention Harvey Weinstein", noted "New Day" co-anchor Alisyn Camerota.

But when pushed further, the former campaign manager admitted Clinton's silence was antithetical to what she believed the former Democratic presidential nominee stood for.

Weinstein has always been a Clinton donor with ties to the political family.

Separately, three women accused Weinstein of raping them in a story published online by The New Yorker, including the Italian actress Asia Argento and a woman who was an aspiring actress in college when she caught Weinstein's eye.

Clinton will appear at the Bellco theater for a discussion of her book "What Happened" on November 16th.

"I was shocked and appalled by the revelations about Harvey Weinstein", Clinton said in the statement.
