Barcelona chief Grau: We have the money to buy Coutinho in January

Anfield officials rejected all offers for the Brazil worldwide, who submitted a transfer request in attempts to force a proposed transfer to the Nou Camp.

Coutinho was desperate to move to the Camp Nou and handed in a transfer request with three weeks remaining of the transfer window but Liverpool stood strong.

Dean Saunders believes that Sadio Mane is a more important player to Liverpool than Philippe Coutinho.

LIVERPOOL look set for another transfer window of speculation surrounding Philippe Coutinho after Barcelona publicly confirmed they are ready to revive their interest in the player in January.

The report says Klopp and the Anfield board accepted in return that they would have to listen to offers in January if Barcelona came back to the table.

The planned investment compares to the $6.4 billion the company spent on R&D over the past three fiscal years. On top of this, it is also now recruiting 100 more researchers from across the world.

Liverpool's problems could be made worse if they fail to make it out of the group stages in Europe before Christmas - and also if their Premier League challenge falters any further.

'We are ready to buy Coutinho in the winter market, or any player the technical staff request, ' Grau said.

"I don't think it's going to happen in January, I don't think they've got intention of making it in January", Balague told Sky Sports, per the Express.

Barcelona might struggle to raise the winter funds it would require to tempt Liverpool into selling such a key figure halfway through the season, although claims of a "promise" between them and Coutinho would seek to unsettle any harmony.

Barca were thwarted in their attempt to prise Coutinho away from Anfield during the summer, with Liverpool placing a reported €200 million (S$321 million) asking price on the forward.
