Local distributors affected by the recall include Target's Archer Farms, Wal-Mart and Trader Joe's. For these products, customers can call Albertsons Companies at 1-877-723-3929, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Public health officials have not yet reported any illnesses associated with the products that may be contaminated.

Pregnant women, older folks, and people with weakened immune systems are especially at risk for further infection if exposed to listeria or listeriosis.

Food contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes may not look or smell spoiled, but can still make you sick.

The recalled products were distributed with "best if used by" dates from October 11 to October 20 listed on the front of the packaging.

The FDA says that although healthy people may suffer only short-term symptoms such as a high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhea, listeria infection can cause miscarriages, stillbirths, and early labor among pregnant women.

If you have any of the above products, then the FDA advises that you either discard it immediately or return it to its point of purchase for a full refund.
