John Mayer Thanks Fans for the Love Following Emergency Appendectomy

Dead & Company with John Mayer has postponed its final three concerts including the South Florida performance. Fans can use the tickets for the rescheduled date or get a refund. Live Nation confirmed this morning that Mayer is recovering from an emergency appendectomy that occurred yesterday. "Had surgery yesterday and woke up to see some amazingly kind and loving tweets", he wrote.

John Mayer thanks fans for well wishes as he recovers from an emergency surgery after a bout of appendicitis on Tuesday. The last two stops on the tour are later this week, December 7 & 8 in Florida, but no news has been given about whether Mayer will be well enough to perform. Mayer's Grateful Dead spinoff band, Dead & Company, released a statement Tuesday saying Mayer had been hospitalized for an emergency appendectomy, or removal of his appendix. "Love you all dearly". Loynes said all tickets for the concerts would be honored and later rescheduled.
