Justin Timberlake Announces New Album Ahead of Super Bowl performance

Justin Timberlake has announced his grand return to the musical sphere with the title of his next full-length studio album, Man of the Woods, out February 2.

Music from Timberlake's album is previewed throughout the video, with Williams stating, "That is a smash".

Actually, looks like the singer is skipping over country and going straight to woodsman.

While the announcement he's finally making a new album is cause to celebrate, there are reasons to be concerned. After seeing the visuals in the video teaser, though, we're hoping this isn't the last we see of Timberlake being one with nature. His wife, actress Jessica Biel - who appears in the video along with their son, Silas - is from the north woods of Minnesota.

"This album is really inspired by my son, my wife, my family", Timberlake said in the clip. In a 2016 interview with the BBC, Timberlake declined to describe it as a country album but acknowledged the influence. What little we do hear of the album in the trailer backs this up, as some of the poppier synths have been switched out for a more acoustic sound.

Max Martin, Shellback, and Timbaland are also collaborators on the album. Next month, he'll head to Minnesota to perform at half-time of Super Bowl LII.

The former boy bander is set to rock the Super Bowl halftime show, presumably with some of his new music, just days after the album drops.
