The Titans' GM is Jon Robinson, who has a long relationship with McDaniels from Robinson's time with the Patriots; McDaniels was believed to have been a target for Tennessee two years ago, before Mularkey was hired.

And he's had other opportunities: a few years ago, Jimmy Haslam wanted McDaniels to be the Cleveland Browns' head coach; last year, the San Francisco 49ers wanted McDaniels.

According to NFL Media's Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero, the Colts have held strong with their pursuit of McDaniels and the Colts are expected to be his choice when an offer comes.

In a first, Saudi women attend football game
For the first time in history, women in Saudi Arabia have been allowed to attend a football match in Jeddah . But even segregated as they were, their presence in the stadium marked a significant moment for the Kingdom.

McDaniels only previous experience as an National Football League head coach came in 2009 and 2010 when he was with the Denver Broncos. During his latest tenure, McDaniels was a part of two Super Bowl championship teams and has the potential to notch a third title before heading to Indiana. The offensive coordinator is one of the hottest names out there and has been tied to the Colts previously, primarily due to the notion he could get Andrew Luck back on track - assuming Luck ever gets fully healthy again, of course.

One could easily make the case that the Colts have been wasting Luck's career.

McDaniels also worked with a less accomplished quarterback in his first stint as a head coach in Denver; Tim Tebow. The Colts need help in multiple areas, particularly on defense and the offensive front, to even have a chance to compete next season.
