Overwatch is now in the first season of its Overwatch League - streamed exclusively on Twitch, which they acquired for $90 million.

Earlier today, Blizzard confirmed that Blizzard World will be available on January 23. The map in question is an interesting one that's called "Blizzard World" and has been created to resemble a theme park of sorts.

It's not clear if there will be hero balance changes in the update but we do expect new loot box items, including at least eight new skins. Rounding out the new content is a selection of player icons for all heroes.

As reported yesterday, new map "Blizzard World" will be going live in Overwatch next week.

Blizzard World is a hybrid Assault/Escort map with distinct locations taken from other Blizzard games such as Warcraft's Stormwind, the Nexus from Heroes of the Storm and so on.

To celebrate the new patch, Blizzard is revealing a new item from the patch each day leading up to it's release. Along with the map, players will also be boasting character skins inspired by these other Blizzard franchises like a Diablo "Butcher" skin for Roadhog, and a Starcraft "Nova" skin for Widowmaker.
