Colin Firth will not work with Woody Allen again

Firth joins other Allen movie alumni in expressing regret they worked for him, including Oscar victor Mira Sorvino, actress-director Greta Gerwig, Golden Globe victor Rachel Brosnahan, Rebecca Hall, and Timothée Chalamet.

As a movement against harassment and assault gathers pace, actors including Natalie Portman have come out in support... Back in October, actor Griffin Newman, who has a small part in the upcoming film A Rainy Day in NY, shared in a Twitter thread that he felt guilty about working with Allen and had chose to donate his salary from the film to the anti-sexual violence organization RAINN.

The Time's Up initiative us in response to the reckoning around sexual abuse in Hollywood. But what I can say is this: "I don't want to profit from my work on the film, and to that end, I am going to donate my entire salary to three charities: "TIME'S UP, The LGBT Center in NY, and RAINN".

Farrow has stood by her claim, which first surfaced in the wake of her parents' bitter split when Allen left the actress and activist Mia Farrow for Soon-Yi Previn, her adoptive daughter from a previous marriage who was 21 at the time.

The statement read: "When this claim was first made more than 25 years ago, it was thoroughly investigated by both the Child Sexual Abuse Clinic of the Yale-New Haven Hospital and New York State Child Welfare".

Rebecca Hall: The actress, who first worked with Allen on 2008's "Vicky Christina Barcelona" and stars in his latest film, "A Rainy Day in NY", announced earlier this month that she plans to donate her salary from the upcoming movie to the Time's Up campaign, which was launched earlier this year to promote gender equality. Kristof said that Allen should be presumed innocent because he was never prosecuted-but that was is still important to hear Dylan Farrow's side of the story, considering that Woody Allen had just been honored with the Golden Globe lifetime achievement award despite his questionable history.

Woody, the 82 year old director has issued a statement, denying all the allegations. Dylan Farrow first pointed to her shoulder.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel's star Rachel Brosnahan said in a podcast with The Hollywood Reporter that she regretted working with Allen on the Amazon series Crisis in Six Scenes. When Mia Farrow asked why she didn't repeat what she had said earlier, "I told her that I was embarrassed".

The letter was a big deal back in 2014, when letting survivors push back and go public about incidents of alleged abuse was not commonplace. "But it's unfair and sad to me", Baldwin wrote. And it seems likely that more will follow her lead, especially as Dylan Farrow continues speaking out against Allen.
