Donald Trump's misspellings have become legendary - "covfefe", anyone? - but a glaring typo on tickets for the president's State of the Union speech Tuesday has some lawmakers crying for spell check.

The White House has indicated that Trump's speech will strike an optimistic tone, in contrast to his inaugural address a year ago and a number of campaign-style speeches the president has given during his time in office. The former reality TV star can summon a performance to rival that of Martin Sheen as the aspirational President Jed Bartlet on "The West Wing" when he chooses.

Tickets for President Trump's first State of the Union contained a major typo: The misspelling of "uniom".

The People's State of the Union, at the Town Hall Theater in Manhattan, also featured Common and Rosie Perez. However, it can help build a politician's national profile if done well.

Americans are voicing concerns about Mr Trump's fitness for office. They will be watching Trump's speech closely. Several Democratic lawmakers have said they would boycott the event. Trump himself has been accused of assault or harassment by more than a dozen women, accusations he has denied. The next two weeks, as Congress tries to forge an immigration deal, will go a long way toward determining the fate of DACA recipients and the future of legal immigration in the United States-subjects Trump will no doubt address during his address. And he laid out a series of carefully fact-checked arguments for his big policy pushes — for a tax overhaul, trade policy and infrastructure spending.

Republicans and Democrats can not agree on a policy that allows hundreds of thousands of young, undocumented immigrants to live and work in the US.

"'State of the Uniom' pretty sums up this presidency", someone wrote.

Republican Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas missed President Barack Obama's final SOTU speech in January 2016 because he was campaigning for president in New Hampshire. The FBI director later said there was "no information" to support Trumps accusation. "He did not just fall out of the sky and land in Queens", Moore said. The decision to go with Kennedy, a 37-year-old liberal from the most storied family in Democratic politics, signals that the party is looking to tap into the energy of their progressive base ahead of November's midterms.

Considering the strength of the economy, Trump will step before lawmakers Tuesday night in a remarkably weak position.

Hulings is running for Congress in Texas's 23rd District, a seat now held by Republican Rep. In 2017 elections in Alabama, Virginia and the suburbs of NY and Philadelphia, concern about the presidents behavior proved to be a drag for Republican candidates by turning off suburban voters and driving Democratic turnout.
