The #Cleveland Cavaliers just blew up their entire roster, trading nearly all their backcourt players and bringing in fresh talent to help them make a push to the NBA Finals. Then they shipped Derrick Rose and Jae Crowder to Utah and Iman Shumpert to the Kings for Rodney Hood and George Hill.
Miami Police, Miami Beach Police and Miami-Dade County Mayor Carlos A. Gimenez all tweeted about Wade's return to the Heat.
Along with this deal, the Cavaliers pulled off major deal with the Lakers as they sent guard Isaiah Thomas and forward Channing Frye to Los Angeles for guard Jordan Clarkson and forward Larry Nance Jr. Much like he did with the Chicago Bulls, Wade wanted to help lead a team back to the NBA Finals again.

In his one season in Cleveland, Wade is averaging 11.2 per game coming off the bench. Dwyane Wade, at 36 years old, brings a much needed superstar veteran presence to a roster that has not seen much change since his departure back in 2016.
Cleveland sits in third place in the East at 31-22.
In effect, Wade was offered a two-year, $40 million contract from the Heat in 2016.
The deal was eventually bought out and enabled Wade to sign with the Cavs prior to this season.
