Are Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir Dating or Married? (Ice Dancers)

U.S. speed queen Lindsey Vonn goes into her final training session for the women's downhill in strong form.

"To have four skates on Olympic ice that we can be extremely proud of and to come away with two Olympic medals for Team USA and ourselves and everyone that has supported us, it's nearly indescribable".

"Amazing", Virtue said. "It was a special moment to come out last". "We've been friends and rivals for years so I couldn't be happier". (They actually won the free skate and set a new record score at 123.35 points.) Papadakis and Cizeron fought through a wardrobe malfunction in the short dance to hold onto their silver medal position.

The pair now has five Olympic medals, with two golds and a silver in ice dance, to go along with a gold and silver in team skate. They say it helps them focus.

"That's the lovely thing about figure skating". The music to their short dance this season included "Sympathy for the Devil" by the Rolling Stones, The Eagles' "Hotel California", "Oye Como Va" by Santana and - the song that won them the gold - selections from the "Moulin Rogue!" soundtrack. "It's one of my favorite free dances to skate so this performance here at the Olympics is a dream come true".

American siblings Alex and Maia Shibutani finished third with a combined score of 192.59.

It was the second gold medal of the Pyeongchang Games for Virtue and Moir, who were instrumental in helping Canada win the team event.

They retired for two years after that disappointment, content with their place in history, only to decide a couple years ago to make one more run at Olympic glory.

The gold was their fifth career Olympic medal, breaking a tie with Russia's Evgeni Plushenko and Sweden's Gillis Grafstrom for the most in figure skating at the Winter Games, and their three golds matched the record shared by Grafstrom, Sonja Henie of Norway and Irina Rodnina of the Soviet Union. In 2010 and 2014, the rivals were Americans Charlie White and Meryl Davis, with whom they trained and against whom they dueled for gold in Vancouver and Sochi.

Papadakis said Tuesday's performance had, made their Olympic debut special.

Papadakis and Cizeron had started training with them about two years earlier, after spending time with coaches in France. "But that's the scoring system".

The pair had previously said this would be their last Olympics and hinted that retirement from competition - this time for good - might be on the cards soon.

The canadian duo has avenged his only defeat of the season, at the hands of Papadakis and Cizeron, in the final of the Grand Prix of the worldwide skating Union, earlier in December.

And while the darling duo say they've reached the end of their Olympic careers, they now plan to go on tour, which is sure to keep fans swooning and guessing about the possibility of a real romance to go with their on-ice intimacy. The French skate a simpler style favouring elegance and long lines.

Virtue and Moir added sizzle to technical perfection.

Lauzon was asked when Canada will see another dance time like Virtue and Moir.

"I've been working hard and I could do it at the right times", Martinod said. "They're a once in a generation talent".

Now, they're being called the greatest ice dancers ever. "There. I said it", one Twitter user wrote.
