SensorTower reports that Fortnite mobile players spent $1.5 million on in-app purchases (IAPs) in just 72 hours. In addition to this, it appears to be punching above its weight when compared to other giant mobile game hits of recent years.

"However, this approach doesn't find every impacted account, or you might have created your Epic account after we checked a particular password dump".

Sensor Tower, a data analytics firm specializing in the mobile app marketplace, revealed the Fortnite calculations in blog post on Monday.

It's possible that the development team are holding off for more details about the next big Android update, titled Android P, when full details about the upcoming operative system at Google IO next month. Larger purchases net additional in-game currency, for example the $99.99 tier comes with an extra 3,500 V-Bucks on top of the standard 10,000 units. "Purely based on cosmetic IAP, it has managed to gross about one third as much as both Pokémon GO ($4.9 million) and Clash Royale ($4.6 million) made in their first four days of availability on iOS", writes SensorTower's Head of Mobile Insights Randy Nelson.

Of course, the response from Aaron's sister was elated as she tweeted, "THIS IS MY GREATEST ACHIEVEMENT KDJGNSOEKFMXMSM". Brown replied to Ayen's tweet , offered her condolences and asked for an invite to Aaron's birthday party next year.

Not bad, especially when you consider it has been released as "invite only" and not released to the wider public. Currently, Fortnite mobile is only available for iOS devices AND by invitation only. The countdown to shrink time begins as soon as the match starts. So if you know anyone who actually has got the game, then you know how to get the game.

When you are invited, you will receive an email with a link to download the game from the App Store.

In order to encourage speedier play, Epic Games has also tweaked the item spawn rates.
