PUBG Mobile Is Now Available For iOS and Android

PUBG Mobile requires iOS 9.0 or later and works on iPhones 5s and later versions.

With the release of Fortnite on mobile devices, already making millions of dollars, it was no surprise that PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds immediately followed up with their own mobile release. Even though PUBG is live in Asia and Canada before, it is restricted to the US.

According to corporate vice president of Tencent and president of Lightspeed & Quantum Studios Group Chen Jerry, the developers worked "hard to create an authentic PUBG mobile experience that players new and old will love".

The latest update on the status of the next patch comes from Nico Bihary, an executive producer with Microsoft who's been providing continuous updates on the Xbox One version of PUBG. Of course, you could also argue using bots takes away what made PUBG special in the first place - a game that pits you against 100 AI enemies isn't particularly unique or noteworthy. No word on if Fortnite is beating PUBG on iOS yet, but you can bet the competition is tight.

The Verge reported a few days ago, that PUBG uses bots to ease the players into the game. The mobile game is a full-featured port of the original title, faithfully recreating PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds in smartphones and tablets. The beta for the game has also been available in the U.S.

It's a disgrace that Fortnite Battle Royale, a free-to-play video game, performs much better than the competition that gives a paid experience. The Fortnite vs PUBG battle won't have a clear victor, as both titles are excellent in their own right.

Regardless, this mobile version of PUBG is actually fairly impressive considering that it was seemingly developed in a fairly quick amount of time and debuted not long after the successful launch of Fortnite mobile.
