Koreas holds preparatory talks to set up Kim-Moon summit

Moon's top security advisor, Chung Eui-yong, travelled to Pyongyang last month to meet Kim and to Washington D.C. and reached on agreements on the inter-Korean summit, as well as on a proposed US-North Korea summit.

The powerful Defence Committee urged a boost in Defence spending to avert tubby tyrant Kim Jong-un's nuclear ambitions becoming reality.

"China appreciates North Korea's position working toward denuclearization of the peninsula and its important efforts to ease the situation on the peninsula, and supports meetings between the leaders of the North and South and between the North and the United States", Wang said, according to a Chinese Foreign Ministry statement.

The document called North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un "ruthless" but "rational" and claimed he can be dissuaded from using nuclear weapons through a policy of "deterrence and containment".

However, it is also noted there has been "no sign" of Kim wanting to target the United Kingdom with nuclear weapons.

At present, there are 450 nuclear power plants in 31 countries, while 55 plants are under construction around the world. This will be the first such object to be built in Turkey .

Kim has since embarked on a diplomatic overture that has seen him pencil in summit meetings with the South and the U.S. and make his global debut with a visit to Beijing - his first overseas trip since taking power in 2011. North Korea may also be likely to sell on its technology to other states that may be more aggressive towards the UK.

The select committee report also covers the cyber threat posed by North Korea - which was blamed for the WannaCry ransomware attack which struck computers at NHS trusts previous year.

The two Koreas agreed Thursday to hold another preparatory meeting to work out the details of the April 27 summit, which is to take place in the South Korea-controlled side of the border village, Panmunjom.

The WannaCry attack hit targets across the world, including the NHS, in what is thought to be one of the most damaging cyber-attacks yet in the UK.

Several hundred North Korean workers are returning to China in a move potentially in violation of UNSC resolutions, Radio Free Asia reported, UPI revealed.

Trump and Kim are expected to have a sitdown for a major peace summit during May.
