KKR vs RCB Live score: In the third match of IPL 2018, Dinesh Karthik's Kolkata Knight Riders meets Virat Kohli's Royal Challengers Bangalore at Kolkata. AB De Villiers, Brendon McCullum, Quinton De Kock, Chris Woakes, Moeen Ali, Corey Anderson and Colin De Grandhomme are all strong picks but if Bangalore are to go deeper into the tournament, they should perhaps look at rotating their overseas a little more than they have in the past.
However, Kolkata won with seven balls to spare against an attack including former KKR all-rounder Chris Woakes (3-36) thanks to contributions from captain Dinesh Karthik (35no), Rana (34) and Andre Russell (15).
The insane hittiing, however, continued for RCB even after McCullum's wicket as AB de Villiers was in a mood of unstoppable firing with the bat. The South African crowd favourite went after the spin duo of Kuldeep and Narine and then dispatched Mitchell Johnson for a four and a six. Two wickets also fell in that over.
Earlier, put to bat, RCB lost Quinton de Kock early.
However, the total wasn't enough for the Challengers as the hosts knocked down the target in 18.5 overs with four wickets remaining. McCullum, who fetched 14 runs in the first over of the innings from Vinay Kumar, pounced on every loose ball.
Apple will claim it invented the curved screen soon
The curves will presumably be a lot more noticeable than the slightly curved display on the bottom of the iPhone X . Both the new gesture control and display technologies are still in the early research and development phases.
McCullum had entertained his fans with six fours and four sixes.
While Kohli was struggling for big ones, de Villiers took off in style. But just when the visitors were looking steady with McCullum looking in fine touch and Kohli at ease playing second fiddle, Sunil Narine (1/30) got rid of the risky Kiwi with a shortish offbreak that dislodged the stumps.
"The RCB class of 2018 is exciting, a balance of youth and experience, fresh and resolved to delight our supporters around the country, to realise our potential on the field and, hopefully, to take the trophy", De Villiers further writes.
In just 27 balls, the pair brought up the 50-run partnership before Rana got the back of the duo in successive balls. It almost cost his wicket too when he was caught at long-on, but Mandeep Singh couldn't stop himself from stepping on the ropes. He's a fantastic enabler for Kohli, and has been on fire in the KKR practice matches.
Johnson picked his first wicket of the match by picking up Sarfaraz Khan, who was caught by Rinku Singh at the long on.
