Wisconsin man celebrates eating his 30000th Big Mac

It was 140. In 2006 he crossed the finish line of the San Diego marathon carrying his 21,387th Big Mac.

If success could be measured in McDonald's Big Macs, then a Wisconsin man has done it all.

Gorske became the world record holder for most Big Macs eaten after he consumed his 28,788th burger in 2016.

Gorske also collects mementos of his Big Mac orders.

"At the time it was the only McDonald's in town and I had just gotten my driver's license", Gorske said.

Nick Bohr, a reporter for WISN, an ABC affiliate in Milwaukee, documented Gorske's 30,000th Big Mac. Loyal McDonald's patron Don Gorske of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin, continued his 46-year streak of eating multiple Big Mac burgers almost every day, with Friday's Big Mac getting him up to No. 30,000. He said that the first time he missed eating a Big Mac was in 1982.

Asked about the haters and doubters, Gorske was serene: "People make fun of me, but it never bothered me". At Don's last checkup both his cholesterol and blood pressure were just fine.

Sibanye's James Wellsted says this is the third tremor in the same area since Thursday. He said the two miners still trapped are "probably dead as well".

The grandfather claims that 90 percent of his diet consists of the burgers and he has even been recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records.

Gorske told WFRV that he's eaten at least one Big Mac a day since then.

The Big Mac fan's television appearances include the "Rachel Ray Show", "Jimmie Kimmel", "Lopez Tonight", "I've got a Secret", "Oprah" and "Inside Edition".

Through more than four decades, he's gone about eight days total, without eating a Big Mac.

"I love the patties, I love the sauce, I can't get enough of it", said the Wisconsin native. He immediately eats two of them and refrigerates the rest for later. On April 27 1988, he was true to his word.

"Maybe I'll be eating it when I catch myself on the news", he said and smiled.
