Road Trip Hidden Battle Star #1 - Fortnite Season 5 Week 1 Challenges

Here's everything we know about Fortnite Season 5.

The Fortnite floating lightning bolt location challenge, which tasks you with "Search floating lightning bolts", may sound tricky, but it's actually quite simple. Where Shopping Carts provided some extra zip for duos, Epic has gone one better in Season 5 with the introduction of the All Terrain Kart (ATK).

The roof of the ATK also functions as a bounce pad.

Scattered throughout the map are rifts that teleport players to a different point on the map where they can then parachute back down to the ground. The new theme is "when worlds colide", and here's a quick rundown of the coolest stuff for their V5.0 Patch notes. Epic Games has also made it a bit more hard to "double pump" in season 5.

There's a chance the subs won't be necessary; only four boys and their coach remain in the cave . All four were airlifted to a hospital in the nearby city of Chiang Rai.

Circles 7, 8, and 9 could now move in random directions, rather than just plainly shrinking - "As the storm closes in, it will move & shrink to the new location", says Epic. There are also some damage and bullet drop-off changes to the SMG. Heavy shotguns have been given a 10 pellet magazine, instead of 5, and the ability to double pump has been reduced with the introduction of a shot delay.

"Fortnite" season 5 also adds indicators on how many pellets hit when players are using shotguns. While the list of changes is fairly extensive, one notable addition to the Switch version is gyroscope aiming.

As always with a Fortnite patch there are a bunch of fixes and performance improvements, with some changes too in weapon balancing.

In 50v50 or 20v20 modes, you'll now get bonus XP up to three times per match for reviving teammates. The game continues with the last-player standing format, but adds its own twist that changes everything: you can instantly build walls and stairs, allowing you create fortifications to protect yourself. At the end of Season 4, rifts started opening up all across the world making certain things disappear over time.
